Mera Dil Mera Dushman has been airing on ARY Digital for a while now. It started airing on 3 Feb 2020 and has been entertaining us every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 09:00 pm.
Mera Dil Mera Dushman is directed by Syed Ali Raza Usama. The drama is produced b Humayun Saeed and his wife, Samina Humayun Saeed under the umbrella of Six Sigma Plus and Next Level Entertainment. The OST has been sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
The cast of Mera Dil Mera Dushman consists of Alizeh Shah, Yasir Nawaz, Noaman Sami, Anam Tanveer, Laiba Khan, Naveed Raza, Gul e Rana, Aamna Malick, Shazia Gohar, Fatima Sohail, Salman Saeed, Saba Shah, Malik Raza, Akbar Islam and more.
This drama has also been Fatima Sohail, Mohsin Abbas’s ex wife’s debut role.
From May to June, the drama was not being aired due to the fact that most of the Mera Dil Mera Dushman cast had got infected with the coronavirus after visiting Nida Yasir’s morning show and had to isolate themselves.
The story revolves around Alizeh Shah, playing Mairah in the drama. Alizeh Shah belongs to a very poor family where her mother and herself are tortured verbally by her brother’s wife. Alizeh’s brother and sister in law get her married to a filthy rich yet aged man just for the sake of 1 Million rupees.
Alizeh on the other hand had developed feelings for a very nice and caring young man named Shahmeer. Unfortunately, Alizeh is pushed to marry the old man who ends up being Shahmeer’s paternal uncle.
The family, Alizeh becomes a part of treats her with hatred and disgust for a long time until things start to get better and Alizeh’s husband’s attitude starts changing towards her. However, Alizeh’s sister in law does not like her presence in the house and she continuously makes attempts to get her kicked out of the house.
This does not last long when everyone gets to know the reality of her sister in law and she is compelled to ask for Alizeh’s forgiveness.
The story is slightly different from all other dramas these days. However, the bitter reality of majority of the Pakistani households can clearly be seen.
Not only this, elements like jealousy, envy, hatred, greed and more are widely visible in this drama.
