Deewangi is a romantic drama that is aired on Geo Television every Wednesday. I really look forward to every episode because it is a different story that revolves around aspects of love and hate relationship, power, desire for money and a happy married life.
Produced by the very famous Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, under the umbrella of 7th Sky Entertainment, the OST sung by Sahir Ali Bagga has got me captivated. The drama is written by Sadia Akhtar.
The drama was first aired on 18th December 2019 and stars Danish Taimoor and Hiba Bukhari as leads. Sometimes I feel, Danish Taimoor has something to do with Geo Television as every appearance that he makes, is usually on Geo Television.
Cast
The cast includes: Danish Taimoor, Hiba Bukhari, Ali Abass, Mehmood Aslam, Zoya Nasir, Ismat Zaidi, Parveen Akbar, Faiza Gillani and more.
Story
The story begans showing Danish Taimoor (playing Sultan Durrani) as an arrogantly rich businessman, coming from a politically active family, deprived of the shelter of his parents, who died whilst he was very young and raised by his grandmother and partly his paternal uncle and aunt. Hiba Bukhari (playing Nageen) on the contrary is a neglected daughter whose father has remarried after the dead of her mother and has been living a life of misery and unhappiness with her sister, brother in law and their family.
Nageen strives for a job to support herself and her sister, who herself is treated badly by her husband and mother in law. She earns to pay for good schooling and a better lifestyle for her sister’s children by working as a bus hostess and living in a hostel, away from home.
One day, in the bus, she gets to interact with Sultan Durrani, who is travelling in the bus to get rid of all the paparazzi that he deals with everyday, having said that he belongs to a filthy rich family with political presence.
Sultan develops a feeling of likeness for Nageen, whilst Nageen, being a focused and composed girl, slaps Sultan on the face, after being proposed for marriage.
This becomes a scandal, created by Sultan’s cousin Narmeen, who is madly in love with Sultan and has been repeatedly rejected by him for marriage.
Many incidents take place and Sultan traps Nageen in his fake love and takes revenge of the insult caused by that slap on his face and media coverage of that event.
Sultan pretends to love Nageen and offers her for marriage, which Nageen accepts and unfortunately, pays a heavy price.
All this brings Nageen to a point where she is disowned by her family, excluding her sister and she is accused of having a faulty character. This compels her to leave her city and travel to her paternal aunty’s house, where she experiences much hatred and false accusations.
At this point, she meets a very jolly and loving man, Haroon. This leads to their marriage. It is a happily ever after marriage. But happy ever after does not always exist. Sultan makes a come back after realising how much he loves Nageen and now is making all his efforts to marry Nageen and end her happy relationship with her husband.
Keep watching to know what happens next and do not forget to share your valuable feedback with us. ❤️
